Is my child eligible for free school transport?
NYC provide free school transport to Nidderdale High School if it is the nearest school to your home and is over 3 miles walking distance away or where the route to the school is not safe to walk. NYC will automatically assess student’s eligibility and will send a bus pass to your home address by 30th May if you are eligible.

Can I drive my child to school?
You are able to drop your child off at school but we politely request you do not park in the bus lane or near to the school entrance gate. Paid bus passes
If a student is not entitled to free school transport, bus passes are available to purchase for £1200 for the academic year 2025/2026. In order to make an application you need to complete the online application form below & pay the deposit & complete the two forms below (Direct Debit Mandate / Conditions of Use).
The Direct Debit mandate needs to be signed either manually or with a E-signature before returning (typing your name onto the mandate is not acceptable).
Conditions of Use – this document needs completing to show pupil's name, bus stop they wish to be picked up from and signed by Parent/Carer. The whole document needs to scanned and emailed to: hometoschooltransport@nidderdale.mlt.co.uk or posted to J Spedding, Nidderdale High School, Low Wath Road, Pateley Bridge, Harrogate, HG3 5HL, or hard copy handed into the School Reception.
