Parent, Teacher and Friends Association (PTFA)
Our PTFA plays a vital role in bringing together parents, carers, staff, and friends of Nidderdale High School to help create a strong sense of community and raise additional funds to support and enrich the experience of our students.
The PTFA is instrumental in organising events throughout the year, from social evenings to fundraising initiatives. These events not only help provide extra resources and opportunities for students, but also strengthen the connections between families and the school.
We welcome new members at any time and would love to hear from anyone interested in getting involved—whether regularly or occasionally.

December 2025 - PTFA Update
The new Nidderdale High PTFA launched in July 2025 with an aim of raising funds and organising fun activities for the students of Nidderdale High. In partnership with the dedicated staff team, the PTFA has organised three fundraising events over this Winter term. We kicked things off with a KS3 Colour Run on 26 September which proved very popular (and messy!) with the students. In October, we held the inaugural Mr. Connors Cup Quiz which showcased the brilliance of our entire community as Quizmaster Paul Rushworth challenged our general knowledge skills. During this week's Christmas stalls, the PTFA ran a few activities including a Name a Teddy, Sweets Card Bingo and a Santa Straw Pull to raise more funds and allow the students to eat even more holiday sweets!
We are delighted to share that to date these events have already raised £1,447.30 for the school. We will be working with the students and staff on how to best programme these funds and build on this success in the months to come.
However, the PTFA now needs your help and ideas to continue to grow our fundraising plans for spring 2026. Please get in touch if you are able to offer time, donations, connections to local businesses and partners, sponsorships, admin support or volunteering to run events. We hope to get as many parents and friends of the schools involved in our efforts as possible.
We on the PTFA wish everyone in the Nidd High community a wonderful, restful Christmas break and we look forward to meeting more of you in 2026.
